Collection Name:in silico wheat TILLING populations (Exome capture)Collection Image
Collection Description:This germplasm resource consists of TILLING populations developed in tetraploid durum wheat cv 'Kronos' and hexaploid bread wheat cv 'Cadenza' as part of a joint project between the University of California Davis, Rothamsted Research, The Earlham Institute, and John Innes Centre. We have re-sequenced the exome of 1,535 Kronos and 1,200 Cadenza mutants using Illumina next-generation sequencing, aligned this raw data to the IWGSC Chinese Spring chromosome arm survey sequence [10.1126/science.1251788] and RefSeq1.0 [10.1126/science.aar7191] identified mutations, and predicted their effects based on the protein annotation available at Ensembl Plants [10.1073/pnas.1619268114]. The latest version of the SNPs can be found in Ensembl Plants at https://plants.ensembl.org/Triticum_aestivum/Info/Index, further details can be found in http://www.wheat-training.com/functional-studies/. For the legacy mutations originally called, visit www.wheat-tilling.com Further guidance on how to best reap the value of the resource can be found here https://github.com/homonecloco/bioruby-wheat-db/wiki/Complete-Documentation-in-single-page. ).
